Experience
Monica Mroz is an Associate at Lichtenstein Fishwick & Johnson where she handles complex civil cases and federal criminal defense. Monica is experienced in commercial litigation and employment discrimination and civil rights cases, in both federal and state court.
Monica received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and her J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in 1999. She is a member of the Virginia Bar and the California Bar.
Prior to joining Lichtenstein Fishwick & Johnson, Monica worked at Woods Rogers PLC in the litigation section for four years, and was a pro se law clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia for two years. Before moving to Virginia, Monica worked in San Francisco, CA, with a small firm doing plaintiff's employment discrimination.
Monica currently volunteers her time by serving as President of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Learning Center, a not for profit childcare center in Downtown Roanoke. She is also a member of the Board of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, and President of the Roanoke Chapter. Monica has recently joined the Ted Dalton American Inn of Court.
