Attorney Jacob Lichtenstein
Jake Lichtenstein is an attorney with Lichtenstein Law Group representing individuals who have been catastrophically injured as well as individuals facing serious criminal charges. Before joining Lichtenstein Law Group, Jake served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski (2024) and the Honorable Robert S. Ballou (2023) of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Jake graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law and as a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, Jake worked in the Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic where he helped coal miners suffering from black lung disease and their families pursue benefits under the Black Lung Benefits Act of 1972. Jake also served as a Staffwriter and a Lead Online Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review. After
graduation, Jake joined a leading international law firm as an associate in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on federal and state government investigations, before returning to Roanoke to clerk in the United States District Court.
Jake graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor of arts degree in cognitive science and a minor in history. During his time at Virginia, Jake served as the Executive Editor of the Cavalier Daily, the University’s independent, student-run newspaper. Jake continues to serve on the board of the Cavalier Daily Alumni Association.
Jake is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Court of Appeals of Virginia, and all Virginia trial courts; the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia; the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and all District of Columbia trial courts; and the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, the Intermediate Court of Appeals of West Virginia, and all West Virginia trial courts. Jake is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers
Association, the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Association for Justice, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
